Weekend Rundown

Our weekend was a busy one.... we woke up saturday morning and headed to Chicks to pick up bday presents for the 3 bday parties we had within the next week. Then off to party #1.... Braylens 1st bday! I wish I would have taken pictures cuz she was so stinkin cute.... and the kids had a great time. We left there and went home to get some stuff then headed to my parents for dinner and bocce ball! Us and Marc and Brandi met there, went down to the park and we all played bocce for awhile before going home for dinner and drinks. Ash and Eric finally came too and all of us were up til almost 2am, when Luke and I finally decided to throw our sleeping kids in the car and go home! The next morning we had football weigh ins! Yes sir, Jack will be starting football in July! Crazy huh! Its not tackle, dont worry, the 5 and 6 year olds get flags! He weighed in at a whoppin 36 pounds! LOL he will definetely be a running back :) So starting in July Jack will be a Mission Viejo Cowboy (much to his fathers dismay, boooo COWBOYS!) but Jack is super excited. And he gets to play with some of his friends, and Robert is the coach too! Luke drove straight to Chicks after that and bought Jack a new football and a flag so they could practice! Can you tell dad is excited too! O and did i mention that it was 90 degrees outside... thats not a joke! When we got back from Chicks we all put on our bathing suits and headed to the pool! And lemme just tell you, my kids forgot how to swim! NO JOKE! Jack jumped in to me and almost drown cuz he was freaking out. Completely forgot how to swim! Wonderful! After some mini swim lessons we headed to Ashley and Erics for dinner and finally by about 10pm our weekend was over and Luke and I hit the couch, hard! Long weekend. Hot weekend. Busy weekend. As usual.

Finally Some Disneyland!

After our passes not working in December and some of january, we got way too busy to attempt disneyland. Finally on friday night we got to go. We drove up about 6pm and had dinner there. i was thinking probably by the time we got there people would be leaving and others would be coming... well I dont think anyone left. They all just kept coming! It was packed. Even during the summer on a friday night it isnt half that bad. I was shocked. And we all know how much I hate lines and crowds, well Luke is 15 times worst! At one point I yelled at him for being so cranky and to just make the best of it. We still got quite a few rides in, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Star wars, Buzz Lightyear, Dumbo, Tea cups, where Luke insisted on spinning us so fast I thought three of the four of were going to hurl, and the rockets ship things that fly through the air at Ca Adventure... which i wont lie kinda freaked me out a little... and freaked Wyatt out ALOT! He kept saying "I do this with my hands!" and he would throw his little arms in the air with his fingers spread like he was on a roller coaster... well his arms in the air with that big goofy grin only lasted about 30 seconds til those suckers really got going, then it was a wimper here and there and the most worried look of all time. Not to mention clinched fists on the bar in front of him haha. However the best story of this trip has to be Luke on the brother bear trail. O gosh... I dont think I can tell this story to be half as funny as it actually was but bare with me. So we are on this trail thing thats filled with rope bridges and slides and its kinda like a big tree house. Well the kids wanted to go down this underground slide thing. So Jack went, then I went, then Wy and all three of us are sitting at the bottom waiting for Luke. Well being Luke, he wants to see just how fast he can go down this. So he curls up in a ball basically and is sliding on his back/butt with his fleece sweatshirt on. I tried snapping a picture at the bottom but I only got his feet :( but all the sudden he comes flying out of the tube and shoots like 5 feets through the air and lands smack on his ass on the floor. I dropped to to the floor crying I was laughing so hard. He was laying on the ground cracking up saying "I was trying to go super fast!" WELL YOU SUCCEEDED!!! Holy crap it was so funny. I am dying laughing picturing it in my head right now. Like I said, not half as funny as being there watching this 200 pound guy fly off a kiddie slide but Im sure you can still appreciate it! lol The kids were troopers til we finally decided at 10 minutes til midnight that it was cold and time to go... before we even got out the gates they were both crashed in the stroller!

Wyatt Riot Strikes Again

The kid is freakin hilarious.... as I was typing my Vegas blog I had turned on a movie for the kids. Keira was napping and the boys, so i thought were quietly watching Batman in the other room. I came out to the family room and couldnt find Wy, so I looked in the boys room, the playroom, I mean cmon the house isnt that big! Finally I hear him breathe... he is sitting in front of the kitchen cupboards on the mat below the sink with a yogurt, he had poked a hole in the top foil part and was drinking it out of the top! this kid never fails to make me laugh. He just got this huge smile and giggled when he saw me, like "O shit! Busted! Just be cute, just be cute!" How can you be mad at a face like this!

About an hour later I walk out to see this...

Viva Las Vegas!!

On Friday morning Ashley came over to watch the kiddies and Luke picked me up to drop me off at Jens and 5 of us girls headed to VEGAS!!! We met 7 others for Gianna's bachelorette party! It was a much needed break for me... after the last few months and the craziness of moving and Luke being outta town and everything, I just needed a few days to myself. It was awesome. O and this was the 1st time (no joke) Luke was home overnight with the kids by himself.... not only an entire weekend but even just one night! I think after four and a half years he was sooo due!!

Our car ride up there was probably one of the more entertaining rides to vegas I have ever endured. Starting with a certain someone (wont name names to avoid the possibilty of her killing me) flashing the car full of guys next to us as they asked for our phone numbers while cruising down the 15 fwy! As this "someone" hit the floor in utter embarrassment when she was done, the "front seat passenger" says "Ummm did you see who was in the back seat?" At this point we are all crying in laughter but when she says "HIS PARENTS!" we all just about stopped breathing we were laughing so hard. We didnt believe her so we pulled up next to the car and the kid in the back rolled the window down and sure enough there was good old mom and dad. And this wasnt like my mom and dad who are cool and would be dying laughing if this happened to them, it was like old school, dorky mom and dad who were so disgusted they couldnt even look over at us when their child rolled their window down. I almost died. One of the funniest things I have ever witnessed in my entire life. And NO it was so not me who flashed them... ya right! I would have caused an accident.

Anywho, Friday night we headed to Hard Rock to have dinner at Pink Taco. Best food, and even better my meal cost me $8 when all was said and done. Then we all headed back to Treasure island where we were staying and went to some Ed Hardy club. We had bottle service and open bar though so we couldnt complain. Not to mention we met the funniest chick there ever. Im just gonna call her booty clap cuz I dunno her name. Her ass was one of the hugest things I have ever seen and she did this bizarre booty shake with it. We were all in disbelief. Ahhhh, the things you see in Vegas. After an hour or so there we headed out to gamble. The bachelorette was done for the night and I found myself, along with Jen and kristyn at the blackjack tables til 4am. Friday was supposed to be a mellow early night so I wouldnt die on Saturday, Im getting too old for this weekend in vegas stuff. I failed miserably at the mellow friday night idea. Vacation right??

The next morning I woke up hearing kristyn and Lindsay talking, around 830 or so i think. I almost died. The day was filled with breakfast, then us 4am gamblers heading back downstairs to do some more (I assumed since I broke even the night before I should keep going, bad idea.) Then we headed to Planet Hollywood with our group for Stripper 101. Yes you heard me right. We took a stripper class. It was hilarious. And watching some of the girls in our group work the pole was the best thing ever. Wish we could have taken pictures in there cuz they would be all over my blog. Most girls had pole burn on their legs and arms by the time we walked out. It was classic. Saturday night we all get dressed up and headed via Limo to Rum Jungle for dinner. Most AMAZING food ever!!! It was like a brazilian BBQ where they threw the most all you can eat food at you. I was in heaven. By the time the beef came out though I looked at it and wanted to hurl! I was so full. Gianna was showered with shots and I was under the impression she wouldnt even make it to our next destination, but lemme tell you, she took em like a champ!!! Our next stop was XS in the new Encore hotel. I hate clubs, plain old hate em. I hate standing in lines to get in, I hate standing in lines for a drink, I hate not being able to move on the dance floor cuz everyone thinks its their own personal space and if you invade it be prepared to get beat up, I think they are filled with dirty greasy guys who just wanna get laid so buy every girl in the club a drink (even though I got 4 free drinks outta it that night). But i have to admit, this club was pretty sweet. Even though I endured all those things I just listed the club itself was really nice. And all of us girls had a really good time together! Finally after so long though a few of just couldnt handle it anymore. Lindsay, Lauren, Caley and i finally left around 2am and took a cab back to our hotel and ended the night at Kahunaville. It was so fun. Its just a fun little bar where we met the funnest people (slash funniest and drunkest) and we danced with all the room in world to some fun music. AND we still had drinks bought for us!! Thats what I could do in Vegas all weekend, other than gamble. LOL. Team BlondeTeam brunette... boooooo!I didnt feel as bad as I thought come sunday morning, so making the 5 hour traffic filled drive home wasnt too bad. As great of a weekend it was I was excited to get home to see my boys! They had a fun weekend together. Jeff and Maddie came over friday night and they cooked dinner, played Wii (from what I understand Jack kicked their butts) and Jeff and Maddie spent the night. The next day they all went to the park and later headed to placentia for Brians moms 60th bday party. Best part was me and Lindsay didnt know Jeff spent the night... jack called them out sunday night when I got home haha. Luke didnt realize just how smart this 4yr old of ours is getting! BUSTED!!!! As soon as I got home we hopped in the car and headed to my parents for some bday celebrations!! Hunter is 14.. how crazy and weird is that! And Jenny, well we will keep that one on the DL! LOL love ya guys, happy birthday to ya both!! I am now going to spend my next few days recovering from my weekend and getting my voice back! PS Im posting some pictures but as i get more I will psot them too!

Valentines Day in The Snow!

Saturday was the perfect day for a trip to the snow. It had been stormy all week and Saturday was gorgeous and sunny, still not warm, but it was nice. The kids had never been to the snow before, we kept trying the last two years but Wy was just too little. This year was perfect. We gathered up snow clothes and sleds and a few cool people to take with us :) and headed to Wrightwood for the day. We caravanned up there.. us, my bro and Brandi and the kids and Dustin and his boys. We got there around noon and spent the next few hours sledding, throwing snowballs and watching Luke and Dustin hike back up the mtn with 2 four year olds! Best story! The mountain/hill we chose was perfect, it came to a little bit of a plateau where your sled had the ability to stop rather than going all 150 yds down the rest of the mtn. Well Luke decided to go halfway down the big part. As soon as he crawled back up to the top, exhausted, sweating, hungry, Jack and Mason hopped on their sleds and began the long ride down to the very bottom of the hill! The whole way down Luke was screaming at them to stop, they didnt. The tow of them finally ended at the bottom which had me in hysterics thinking about Luke having to go back down and up the mtn again. HA! Him and Dustin went and got them and it probably took them a good half hour to get up, by the time they were almost to the top Luke was pulling a sled with jack laying on it, Luke was crawling on his hands and knees because if he didnt his feet sank two feet down in the fresh powder. AHAHAH i just about died watching this. It was like a sled dog. Jack just kept yelling "Hurry dad!" Luke was cracking up. Anyways, the kids had a blast. Even though Wyatt couldnt move very well in his snow clothes and when he fell he freaked out cuz he couldnt get up! But he loved sledding and loved playing in it. So worth the trip up there... we had ALOT of fun!

All of us were exhausted by this time ( the four of them had spent the night the night before cuz we had a little too much fun playing Joker and only managed to get 4 hours of sleep). We all headed home and we met Dustin, Ambra and the kids at our house for some dessert and Wii! Ambra brought chocolate covered strawberries and cupcakes (I still despise you for that btw) and we played Mario Party for a good 3 hours. Where I pretty much kicked butt at the end! Thats what ya'll get for telling me I suck!! Anyways, a great vday for us (beats Chuck e cheese last year I think), hope yours was as snowy and cold and filled with coughs and fevers the next day too :) ...that part was so not fun!
