Weird Having No School

Jackson has only been in school for almost 7 months but O my gosh it feels like forever. Its so strange to not have to take him to school all week. And he asks about it everyday. Not very happy that he has no school (he is going to hate summer because of it)! Luckily for us its kinda a low key week/weekend (finally). No birthday parties, no showers, just a tball game and pictures on saturday morning. Anyways, him being out of school reminded me of just how nice it is when he is IN school. Ahhhh, I love it. No fighting, no screaming, easy to run errands and go to the gym, and it definetely breaks up the day/week.

Lucky for us the weather has been nice so we can play outside. HOwever the boys got a new toy thats keeping them super busy. Tuesday morning we went to Target to return some stuff and in return I bought the boys a Tony Hawk skateboard ramp to go with their little tech deck skateboards (a new hobby of Jacksons). Hunter has one so of course it is more than cool to Jack. So this new toy has been keeping these boys mighty busy. Other than tuesday before naps when we went for a walk and to the park (actually 3 different parks, had to stop at each one along the way), other than that they have played with it ALOT. They even brought it out front that afternoon to play with instead of playing with their 8 million outside toys. I love new toys like that. They brought it to our softball game last night so Jack could play with Radyn, then of course to Hunters to play with him.

This has been a LOOOONG week being outta school.... and generally having nothing to do but play outside. Thank goodness for new toys that keep their mind off being bored. However I think later today Im going to come up with some kinda craft to do to keep us busy. Wish me luck!

Spring Break!

So its spring break.... and if this were 5 or 6 years ago Id be talking about the fun trips to Vegas or Mexico or Havasu or something but its not... its 2008... and I have a preschooler... and its Spring Break for him, lol NOT ME! WEIRD! WEIRD!! WEIRD!!! Obviously Hunter and Ky are outta school too so Marc and I took the kids to the beach on Monday because it was so nice down there. Its funny to take Wy to the beach now... last year he was too little to really enjoy it. He basically sat in the sand and played and that was about it. This time he would charge the waves, get knocked down, get up laughing and then run away from them (totally different from when Jackson was his age). I couldnt keep him away from the water for more than a minute. The water was freezing but none of the kids minded, especially Hunter who was out there boogie boarding or body surfing almost the whole time. Except when he was sitting with us and mentioned something about going for a run. I laughed hysterically and said I dare you to run to the end and back. Of course he answered with something like this... "What am I running for? Maybe some extra food?" LOL LOL LOL I was cracking up but lucky for him I had an extra bean burrito from our run through taco bell. So he went. Then came back and ate his burrito, LOL so much for the exercise. Funny guy. We were there for hours.... and Im not so sure my sunscreen is still good cuz I got fried! And the kids looked a little streaky in some areas. Time to take a sunscreen trip to CVS. So that was our first day of Spring Break. Full of partying, bikinis, sun, sand and alcohol.... HA! Ya right... hes only in preschool!

CHEESEEEE! Wyatt and his beer belly...
RUN RUN RUN!!!!!!!! Jack and Uncle MarcHunter eating his prize LOL Eating lunch Finding rocks to throwHe wasnt very happy about the seaweed Jack and Kylee ????????Seaweed train!

Our Easter Extravaganza!

Or at least thats what it felt like.... loooooong day! (LOTS of pictures so be prepared!) Friday when Luke got home from work we took the kids to the park to practice tball with Jack.... hilarious. He was having more fun trying to get us to tag him out that he wasnt even concerned about where the bases were. After an hour or so of running in circles we went home to eat dinner then brought out the eggs! They were so excited to decorate eggs, after all I am the best mom EVER and found a transformers egg kit at target. God Bless Target! Jackson was an egg coloring maniac and had even more fun putting the stickers on them (Wy had more fun putting the stickers on his face!). Wyatt threw i temper tantrum most the time cuz i kept telling him no when he kept putting his fingers in the dye that stains your hands for 5 days.... seriously i still have blue in my nails!Luke sat at one end of the table twirling eggs (and cracking them) and was like a 6 year old the way he was so baffled that the egg could do the "sweet tricks" that it did! Aye yae yae.... After some cleaning up and some dessert it was off to bed. Saturday was a "me day". LOL I left the kids with Luke all day and went shopping and to lunch with my mom. I love those trips... I got some cute stuff! However about 1pm or so I got a text from Luke that was a picture of a blender and margarita mix... like he was trying to bait me home HA! As good as it sounded in the 85 degree heat I didnt fall for it. However when I got home the house was full of people and there were margaritas and pina coladas everywhere! So I helped myself too... my were they good! My "me days" always turn into a Luke day no matter what i swear!!
Wyatt coloring eggs, and his hand!
Jacks egg coloring expertise....Temper tantrum #1.... His sweet transformer egg guys!GRRRRRRRRRRR!
And now for the big day.... the kids woke up about 8am and we waddled on downstairs to see what the bunny had brought us! Jackson was ecstatic, he had a basket full of Transformer stuff, even the grass was transformer grass. Again, God Bless Target! And Wyatt had a basket (actually a sand bucket, thought it was much more practical this year since i missed out on buying the pottery barn ones yet again this year) full of car stuff, plus a ninja turtle so he wouldnt constantly be stealing his brothers and causing huge fights and chaos. After unloading those Wyatt had noticed an egg under the couch, so the easter egg hunt began!! Wyatt was actually really on top of it. I was shocked. He did so good and actually paid anttention the whole time and didnt get distracted. Aftewards, Luke ran out to get coffee and bagels and the kids and I unloaded all their eggs, probably the worst idea mom has had in a long time. They had alot of candy for breakfast.. healthy huh. The next hour and half we all scrambled to shower and get ready for the next event!! Which of course we were a liite bit late for... never fails on holidays like this...
About noon we headed to meet Ethan and Lari at Laris moms house. Of course Aunt Lari had easter baskets for the boys and we did another egg hunt down in the grass. Uncle Ethan helped Wyatt find his eggs. Jackson again ran around like a mad man picking them up. He got yet some more Transforners and him and Laris nephew Beckham played with those for a long time. Lari puts all ther initials on the bottom of the eggs so after they find them all she sorts through them and gives everyone their eggs. That way its even and she gives the appropriate prizes to all three of them. She is so cute, they love Aunt Lari. And its always nice to spend a holiday with them too, since we dont always get to. So after fun at the Portas house we were off to destination number three for the day!
Egg hunt #2
Uncle Ethan helping Wyatt...
RUNNNNNNN!!!!! Jack, Wyatt and Beckham with their loot!About ready for naps...Aunt Lari and her 3 boys!We got to my parents around 3pm and it was soooooooo nice at the beach!! Luke, Marc, Brandi and myself took the kids to the beach for a walk while Hunter boogie boarded (for alll of maybe 30 seconds that he could get in to the 55 degree water). It was nice... especially with the ice cold mudslide in my hand. Its starting to feel like alot like summer!!!! After getting back we did YET another egg hunt. Now that Hunter and Kylee are so old they help out the little kids. Sophia motored around like it was nobodys business... holy cow! The girl is 10 months old and she SPRINTS! Not to mention, here she is, the only girl with all her older boy cousins and she dominates! Wyatt kept yelling at her but I swear he was afraid, yes, even Wyatt was afraid of her. At one point Jackson held her back so Wyatt could get a toy back then Jack and Wyatt took off runnning through the house to get away from her and she CHASED them! OMG it was hilarious! She is a bruiser. Later in the night she saw Parker sitting in a little chair and apparentely wanted it cuz she stood on his lap LOL poor little Parker! Gammy came and Jackson was very excited as usual to see her! Anyways, we had some dinner and some apple crisp and celebrated my brothers' bdays. Ryan was on Friday! And Marc's was actually on Easter. So birthday shout outs to my brother's are in order!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARC AND RYAN!!! Hope you both enjoyed your cards Luke picked out ( I know i really shouldnt let him do that anymore!!) Ashley and I dominated in Joker and even beat the champions of the world AKA Luke and my dad! HAHA bet you two arent feeling very champion like now after getting beat by GIRLS!! A good day, filled with family, fun and lots of CANDY, eggs and treats!

Ive Been Tagged!

So I have been tagged, and I love doing these... so thank you Ashl!!!

10 years ago i was: 15 years old, a sophomore at MVHS (go diablos-or dibablos as Jack would say), played more softball then I really had time for, met some of the best friends ever, caused ruckus in Dove Canyon, took my first shots lol, sang Garth Brooks into coke bottles over and over (thats for u ash and lauren!), carefree, fighting with my mom lol, being a kid and god knows I am FANTASTIC at it!!

5 things on my to do list today:
go to the gym
finish some laundry (its never finished though)
make cheddar garlic ck for dinner mmmm
do the massive amount of dishes downstairs
finish kids easter baskets!!

6 things i would do if i was a billionaire:
hire a nanny lol just kidding, sorta :)
travel ALOT
buy a house-a big one with a big yard, not too big a house though cuz then its just pointless, id rather have more money for spending!!
disperse some throughout the fam
pay off bills!!!
go shopping for me and the boys, probably every day!!!!!

5 years ago I was: 20 years old, Luke and I had just started dating, moving into my first apartment, working as a Nanny and a server at Lonestar, spent ALOT of time at bars with my fake ID, especially TGIFridays and Pams Garage lol, taking pointless classes at Saddleback, went to more Angel games then should be legal, having a great time being 20 years old, after all I was about to be 21 and prego shortly thereafter!!

3 bad habits:
wasting time on the computer
leaving a load of laundry in the washer too long then listening to Luke bitch about his clothes smelling like mildew
eating!!! man i love eating

5 places i have lived:
Irvine-til i was 11
Dove Canyon- best place ever! AKA Dove Compton-probably the best childhood memories one could ask for
Dana Point-after I graduated, my parents moved there
Aliso Viejo-my 1st apartment, with Chris Badraun, Johnny Reid and Lins... what an experience
RSM-mine and Lukes first apartment
Mission Viejo- mine and Lukes first house

5 jobs i have had:
Golds Gym-that was fun, sike!
San Giovannis-only the best job EVER and the best food
Canyon- I have to like Canyon cuz thats where I met Luke!
Lonestar- where I got to line dance every hour... i hated that place!
Mom- and as Ashley said, still trying to figure this one out lol

things most people don't know about me: hmmmmm this ones tuff..... when i was little i had an imaginary pet monkey named George-took him everywhere with me. My siblings would get so mad cuz I always yelled at them for sitting on George when they got in the car or turning the cieling fan on while he was hanging from it. Wow, looking back, bet my mom wanted to kill George.

When i was little, like really little, im talking 7-13 years old, my favorite movie was Stand by me... I was in love with River Phoenix and would pretend Chris, Gordy, Vern and Teddy were my friends lol (i think i grew out of the pretending at about age 9 or so)

Ok now I tag..... Krystal, Caley and Rachel

BOYS BOYS BOYS!!!

Just had to throw in some updates on my terrible two... haha jk they are angels :)

Jackson.... he thinks he is four. Keep in mind this kid doesnt have a birthday coming for another 2 and a half months. You say he is three and he snaps back proudly and says "NO Im four!" Where he was told he was four is beyond me. He has also decided he wants a Ninja Turtle birthday party. Fine by me, makes my job easy. Its so nice when they can tell you what they want rather than contemplating it. And believe it or not I ve actually already started planning this bday party, as well as Wyatts and Lukes. If anyone of you know us well enough you know that May-August are some crazy months for us. In the same 4 weeks I have all three of my boys birthdays and fathers day, as well as a few other family birthdays, shortly followed by mine. Then for some odd reason I always feel the need to take on other events in the midst of all this, such as planning baby showers. Our weekends are already piling up for the next 5 months with birthdays, weddings, and showers. My head is already spinning. Anywho... Jack has been really into baseball lately, for the obvious reason he started tball. But its a nice change from Ninja turtles and transformers 24-7. He also now offically hates brushing his teeth. Well not even the brushing his teeth part so much as the getting toothpaste on your face, which is inevitable. I recently started giving him "big boy toothpaste" rather than baby stuff cuz he would always swallow it. I have finally got him to spit but he has a heart attack when the stuff gets anywhere other than inside his mouth. He is so dainty.

Wyatt... o my o my. Where to begin. I love this age because they are constantly changing day to day, which depending on the new change can be really fun or really not! His vocabulary is ridiculous, and although he has hard time saying things correctly and I have a hard time understanding him alot, he has so many new words. Finally got the kid to say please and thank you. Sounds alot like "dees" and "du-du" but bless his heart, he tries so hard! Max his dinosaur is "nas". Brother is pronounced "ru-rer" SOOOOOO CUTE! He runs up and down the halls yelling "RU-RERRRR!!!!"Football is an old one but still hasnt changed "booball". One of my faves! Cars, trucks and "almost!" is also hilarious. Pants, shoes, teeth... all come out pretty good. Loves telling me he wants fruit, orange, apple, grapes. Good thing I understand those. Cookie is "di-di". Reminds of Jackson calling cookies "doo-doos". HAHA so not even close! O and water he actually says pretty well! He is getting to be a mini dictionary. So old. Those are some of the new ones, my favorite ones. He doing great with his bed (after I write this however it could be a different story). It did take me two and a half hours the other day to get him down for a nap but in his defense he cat napped in the car for fifteen minutes which is never a good thing for me. A few nights I have found him in the oddest places though. Either hanging out of his bed or in the middle of his floor or right in front of the door. Its so funny. One night I went in there cuz I heard a thump and the poor kid was passed out in the middle of his floor, the fall didnt even phase him. He is obsessed with saying No to everything, regardless of whether or not he really means yes. Its gotten really annoying. Like I said, depending on the change can be really fun or really not, this is one of those nots. Sometimes I have to ask him the same question 6 times before I get a yes out of him. I could say "do you wanna cookie?" He will say no 4 times when I know how bad he really wants one, then finally give in and say yes. Ughhhh. I remember when Jack did this to me. So annoying.
Luke was gone the last two nights. They had reps in town at work so on Monday they went straight from work to dinner then to a bar and dint get home til 1am. He went to work the next morning, seeing Wyatt just long enough to give him a kiss and say bye. then went out again straight from work. I kept the boys up late last night so they could see him when he got home about 10pm. They were both having daddy withdrawls. It was bizzare though because Luke can be gone for an entire weekend, four days, and it wont even phase them. This time they both had a hard time with it. Jack was really upset monday night when Luke wasnt there to tuck him in. And after Luke left yesterday Wyatt kept going to the door to find daddy. At one point yesterday he even stood at the top of the stairs for fifteen minutes calling "DA DA!!! DADDDDY!!!!" And was so upset when he got no answer. Jack also said to me "My daddy will be home in five minutes". Well it was 10am so I said to him "No sorry buddy, daddys at work" and with a weak little whine/cry he says "NO hell be home in five minutes... (sniffle sniffle) I just love him so much!" It was hilarious. I couldnt help but laugh but it was so sad at the same time. Needless to say when Luke walked through the door at 10pm last night those kids were ecstatic! Even when he went to the bathroom for a brief minute Wyatt broke down hysterically crying cuz he thought Luke had left again. So sad.... So I decided they needed some daddy time, so on saturday Im leaving them with him while I go shopping with my mom! LOL!!
