4th of JULY!!!!

This year we did a little something different. We have usually gone to Lauren and Brians but with them selling their house and being super busy I planned a fourth of July shindig at the pool by our house. The pool that just happens to be 100 yards away from where they set off fireworks. Ya, Im pretty much a genious. Around noon, we headed over to the pool, set up camp, (we wheeled our big ass BBQ all the way down the street haha), and there we all sat until about 730pm, drinking, eating, swimming, playing. We had Brayden also since Ash and Eric were both working all weekend. The kids were maniacs, played and swam all day and had a blast. It was the perfect day for them. At 730pm, we walked out the gate of the pool to the park right next to it, transferred our camp to those picnic tables, put the kids in dry clothes and we played there for another two hours til the firework show started. The most intense adults vs kids soccer game went on in the grass (where Luke, Josh and J got their asses handed to them by a bunch of kids!) and the tiny kids played in the sand. Dustin let off his fireworks at the park and all the kids got their annual sparklers and snappers. Then we watched an amazing firework show put on at the park 100 yds away from us! And then... wheeled our BBQ back home at almost 10pm and crashed- HARD! Probably the best 4th of July scenario EVER!! We have definetely found our new perfect 4th of july tradition- everyone seemed to be in agreeance. We had so much fun!!!
