Crazy Sick Weekend!

So thinking back to this weekend makes me wanna hurl... here is why:

1) Lots of football events. This consisted of being at Starbucks at 830am on saturday morning to meet the team and drive to Fountain Valley in the 97 degree heat for certification day. It also consisted of picture day the next morning at 1045am. Not SO bad right? HA... throw this stuff (see #'s below) on top and then please keep in mind we only have one car, and I aint riding Lukes motorcycle.
Dunno whats on the picture on his head, i scanned it so it must be a large piece of dust or something. weird.
Jacks bottom row on the end, slouching down so he looks even smaller than he is! 2) Birthday parties... 2 to be exact, which isnt a terrible weekend in the way bday parties. 2 isnt a whole lot right?! (BARF, COUGH, GAG!!) Riley turned 3 and her bday was saturday at 12, which we attended. Emma's 4th bday party was Sunday at 1230 and we skipped that last minute but I did steal a cute pic from Cheyenne... Candice needs to post some of Rileys party cuz I didnt take any there :(
Little Miss Emma Hibbard in all her Hello Kitty glory. Cheyenne decked out this bday party!
3) Bridal Showers... I had to be dropped off at Laurens at 1015am sunday morning for Dre's shower. It didnt start til 11am but Luke had to get Jack to the field for pictures by 1045am. The shower was over around 230pm.
4) I was dying SICK!!!! I never get sick. And I was not having a good weekend. It was 100 degrees out all weekend, we had 8 million things to do and all i wanted to do was lay in my bed and go to sleep. Sooo not happening. I felt like death. My head, my nose, my throat, my body. Sooo not fun. I can usually deal and get through that stuff. Not this weekend. It was awful. So thats my gross weekend in a nutshell. (COUGH, BARF, GAG)

Ice Blocking Adventures

A few weeks ago we were at Salt Creek for Shanes bday and we saw a bunch of people getting ready to ice block, and attached to the ice block were these seats, looked like toilet seats almost. Apparentely they rented them from this place in Mission Viejo. So me, being the queen of fun childish games, got a group together and rented these seats friday night. we met for dinner then headed down to salt creek. Oh my gosh I forgot how fun ice blocking was. We had a blast. The kids loved it! I found though that the seats make it more difficult, just the block by itself was way easier. But we hauled butt down those hills for a a good hour and a half or so. It was awesome. Most the kids made us haul their blocks to the top of the hill everytime, that sucked, needless to say I was sore the next day!! Wyatt sat on Lukes lap over and over and Jack and Radyn just went crazy going up and down up and down. We were all wet, grassy, itchy messes when we were done but we didnt care. I have a feeling its going to be our new favorite, cheap, entertainment!!
Gary and Luke, tired
Shawn and Shane... Shane LOVED it!Radyn almost runnning me over!Jack and KyTaylor, about to beg me to carry her block up!Luke hauled!!!Gianna trying to help Payton down!

Go Cowboys!

Luke hates when I say Go Cowboys lol. Guess he better get used to it! Theres no green and black Eagles out here. Jack had another scrimmage last night. They played the South OC Patriots in Dana Point, right down the street from Nana and Papas so they both stopped by on their way home rfom work. Jack was so excited they were there. My parents couldnt believe how funny it was, or how small these kids were playing football, or how big the other team was haha. Not to mention they kept saying it was night and day from Jack playing soccer last fall. Jack didnt care about soccer, most the time he didnt wanna be there. Just not a soccer fan. But this... they were shocked how into football he was. Not to mention impressed with how these kids did out on the field. Our team was missing our star player, cuz he was sitting out sick but we still won. 35-21. Afterwards we went across the street for some Italian food with the team. Talk about a chaotic dinner. LOL 15 flag football players plus their siblings at a sit down restraunt. Ewwwwwwww.

Pool Party!

Jen threw an end of the summer BBQ and pool party at her parents house for some of the kids, mostly because Radyns bday is in December and he keeps saying he wants a pool party for his bday. So she figured this would shut him up. LOL. Mostly boys, most from our football team and a few from her church. I had the girls that day too so I only stayed with them and Wy for about an hour before I took them home for naps, but Jack stayed all day and just went with Robert and radyn to practice. He had fun, he was super pumped he got to play with all his football buddies too. Justin, who is on our team has an older brother Chad, hes 11, who plays on one of the older teams that practices right next to us. I had never met him, but his mom was telling me at the party how Chad LOVES Wyatt, just thinks hes the cutest kid ever. He sees him at practices being a goof and apparentely played with him at Lampost one night when we had a pizza party. So then I noticed Chad talking to Wy and playing with him at the pool party and Wy LOVED him. He talked about him the whole way home and when we went to practice that night he made sure to look for him. So he has a new buddy.Anyways, fun day for the kiddos.

"NOWAY!"

Ahhhh that time of year again... annual check ups for the boys. Oh I love them, SIKE! Where to begin... The boys were pumped to go to the dr, weird I know, my kids are on crack, I despise going to the dr. I cant stand drs offices, or the smell of them , or the fact there are sick people in them, or needles, none of it. My kids enjoy it?! We get in there and they get measured... Wyatt- 28lbs- 25% for weight. 36 1/2 inches- 25% for height. Hes always been 25% for everything. Always. Jackson- 37lbs- 25% for weight. 44 inches- 75% for height. Tall and skinny. Guess he wont be like uncle Ethan afterall. LOL Jacks been tall now ever since he was 2 and a half. I for sure thought he was going to be a midget but doesnt look like thats gonna happen, Wy on the other hand :) Then we had to go pee in cups. We've never had to do that before. Of course I made them both go before we left the house so Jack struggled but it worked. Wy, well lets just say we hit the bathroom three times before it happened. The dr came in and while she was giving them the check up she asked them all kinds of questions. "Wyatt, what do you wear on your head when you ride your bike?" Wyatt looks at her and says "A foo foo you chicken head!" Ughhhh really Wy?? "Jackson, whats your favorite food?" "MUSHROOMS!!" She laughs and says "I dont think Ive ever heard that before!" "Wyatt, whos your best friend?" Wyatt answers: "Ummm Radyn!" Jackson chimes in:"NO wy hes my best friend!" Arguement breaks out in the middle of the drs office. Nurse re enters a bit later with a tray full of needles. Wy goes first. I sit in front of him and try to distract him so he doesnt look. First one in, he grunts then a little wimper. She then tries to do the second one and says "Ok Wyatt one more!" Wy yanks his arm away and says "NOWAY!" The nurse and I crack up laughing as my poor three year old wimpers and whines for mommy to hold him. Finally we stick again. Done. Jack had three. First one, he giggled, a little fake but was trying to be tough. Second one he says "Oooo Ow!'' and giggles again. Third one he smiles at me then gets this look of "Oh shit she did it again!" I cracked up. Then he waves his hands at her and says, "Ok im done now!" Tough boy. We got our stickers and our new dinosaur books and headed home. And believe it or not they are excited for their next visit. Weirdos.

Opening Day!

4 weeks into practice, the day has arrived, opening day and the boys first scrimmage. I forgot to take pics of Jack before he lined up but I did get some of his bro with his sweet Cowboys shirt I made him... I think hes his brothers #1 fan! We got to the field at 715am to line up with the team. By 8am the Cowboys President was announcing each cowboys team, smallest (us) to tallest.

The ceremony was an hour long but our team had the first scrimmage so they had to sneak off to a corner of the field and begin warming up before it was over. You people would be amazed at these 5-7 year olds. Robert says jump they say how high, everything is answered with a "yes sir". Its like boot camp. Watching these kids listen and be so attentive is amazing to me. Its awesome. They have an exact line up even to do their stretches and warm up, the kids know exactly where to go everytime. Its crazy. Our game started at 9am, believe it or not it was raining!! Ya weird, mid August and its raining. Kids didnt care though, they went on to play their game. Lemme tell you, it was the cutest darn thing EVER! They played Whittier and creamed them 70-0. Jack did great, even though he was up against kids that were literally twice his size. Some of the kids he was blocking looked like they were 12! But he hung in there! I was really impressed with him, hes still young and small so for him to do that well and be so into it was really cool. He loved it. He said he had a great time, even when he got knocked down by that huge kid! They got snacks after the game and lemme tell you, this isnt no oranges and capri sun crap... Our team mom is rad. She packs these cute little plastic bags full of stuff... strawberries, pirates booty, oreos, giant box of Mike and Ikes and Powerade and tied it with a football ribbon. WHAT?!?! Why didnt I get this stuff when i was playing sports?!?! We hung out for awhile and had lunch and watched Ryders game, which was right after ours. It made Jack really excited for when he finally gets to play tackle. We went home and relaxed for awhile, then Luke was off to do security for the older kids games. Ahhh the joys of having to volunteer. Me and the kids hung out and did nothing and it was NICE!

LOST

So I have come to terms with the fact that I just cant keep up with this darn thing, I have tried and tried and tried over the last six months and its not happening. Once I get behind, i feel like all the funny little things that happen I cant post about right then becasue it will be outta order. Stupid I know, guess its just a little OCD. Sooooo, I have about a months worth of activities to catch up on, and I will. O along with about 10 babies who were born in the last 6 months that I never got around to posting about (Im sorry babies, I love you all!). So those posts will come, eventually, but Im over my chronological order nonsense... Im missing out on telling you all the funny stuff that happens in this household. Ive lost the true meaning of this blog and have made it more a current event newspaper. LAME. So I apologize to all my loyal readers... the Brady Blog will be back to normal ASAP... so stay tuned for the crazy antics and nutty mishaps that take place in my day to day life. I miss my blog :(

Day At The Races!!

Saturday morning we met the crew down in San Juan to hop the train and ride on down to good ol' Solano beach. We packed coolers full of food and drinks and some toys for the kids and went to Del Mar to watch the races. I was pretty excited to bring my kids. They had never been with us, or been on the train. So they were pumped! They talked about it for a good two weeks. They spent pretty much the whole train ride on a bench with Boston and Radyn looking out the window to the beach and ocean. They were all giddy and cute. Best part was I didnt once hear "Are we there yet??" Wish I could take the train everywhere! When we got to Solano Beach we had to hop on the trolley bus, double decker might I add, to get to the race track. The kids of course wanted to sit up top so we did and it made for some damn good entertainment. I think at least 6 of us got hit in the face/head with trees and the wind in the babies faces was crackingme up the whole time!

We got in to the race track and the kids thought it was the coolest thing ever. We set up shop (beach chairs, blankets, lunch, lol) and the kids ran wild. Icees, nachos, wrestling, monster trucks, forts, baseball and their favorite, watching the horses come by!

The adults argued over the best horse names and who to bet on. Luke and I won one race and won $36. It was sweet. And the boys went about their really mature ways... like Luke knocking everyone down while attempting to take a picture.

It was a long hot fun day, we were there til our train left at 650pm. But then we thought it would be a good idea (even after the train security told us we needed to quiet down all the crying kids and loud adults) to bring everyone to dinner at Cafe Maiz after that. What were we thinking?!?!
