Wedding Time!

After our ride and a little spa session to ease the pain in our legs (Im tellin u it was a work out!) I headed up to the bridal suite while Luke and the boys headed to the hotel bar to drink pina coladas after I had been craving them (I seriously felt like I was in Hawaii while I was there). The photographers showed up and I felt like Britney Spears. It was like paparazzi were swarming our room, there were three photographers snapping every move we made. Not to mention I looked like crap after just getting outta the spa (dont even wanna see these pictures). After many hours of hair, make up, showers and trying to zip up dresses we hopped on the rented bus and headed to Eucalyptus Lane where the wedding was. Everything was incredible. Gianna did such an awesome job and she almost cried when we walked up and she got to see it all for the first time. I had goosebumps bigtime.

Time came for the ceremony, o and I almost left out the best part! Our friend Sam Shahidi was the minister. Gianna had him ordained on line and he married them, which made for pure comedy for 15 minutes! He was so nervous before it started. I went to the back and he was pacing, rehearsing his lines, fixing his hair. I thought he was gonna crap his pants. It was so cute. As he walked out Luke and Sams brother John who I made a mistake sitting by (him and Luke are terrible sitting next to each other at weddings) just started dying laughing, to the point they were crying. Poor Sam. I yelled at them at first but as soon as Sam opened his mouth and started the ceremony with "um, ok..." I was in hysterics. Few things I wont forget about his words... "In thickness and in health.." "In the PRE-sence of God" and him saying "um, ok, and like" with every sentence. Holy crap it was the best. Gary said he was the most nervous until Sam started talking and all eyes were off him and on Sam. Gianna and Gary only had one word for the ceremony and Sam... perfect. Everything was perfect... the reception was awesome, bartenders were AMAZING (how many bartenders poor 100 Kamikaze shots at weddings, not many!), everyone was looking mighty dapper... including me and my "date" Jake... just call us the purple people eaters...
...and the DJ was fun. At one point he called Luke up to the front, requested by Gianna, to teach everyone the cha cha slide dance. So him and G got up front and did it for everyone. Then later the DJ played it again and youd be shocked how many people were dancing to it this time! The night ended with Gary and Lukes favorite song... Purple Rain. Luke and Gary stood up front arms wrapped around each other dancing and screaming to purple rain. HOMOS. Luke and I hopped in the car with Kent and Kathy Fitch, which made my night because Luke somehow managaed to get Kent, who never drinks, HAMMERED! And all Kent could say in the car was "That bastard Luke got me drunk!" HAHA made my night. Even Jake the next day said "I have NEVER seen my dad like that!" We all got back to the hotel and continued our Dance Party USA in the hotel bar where there was a live band... o and our friend Mr Tupae man! LOL Is that not a terrible hair piece if you ever saw one! I mean really guy, you cant possibly think this looks ok. After another hour or two of dancing they closed the bar and we all headed to the lobby where John ordered 20 pizzas and we all pigged out til 230am.
Gianna was last to go to bed! LOL That never happens. It was such a fun night and a great weekend and we couldnt be happier for Gary and Gianna. Im so glad it all came together and was everythig she had imagined. Only part she didnt imagine was missing her flight to Hawaii the next morning lol!

Kent looks hammered, Good Job Luke! I wouldn't expect any less of a party from your crowd.
